Placing an Obituary Notice on Memorial Farewells.com site is a relatively simple procedure.  The navigation bar above will guide you through the steps. All information gathered is held in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Most people would agree that the survivors are the people that suffer the most intense emotional and psychological trauma after a loved one has passed away. Many even experience physical aches and pains, loss of appetite, lack of sleep, anxiety and general melancholy. It is very important that we acknowledge their pain and sorrow and recognize who these people are so that we may in turn offer a kind word, a gesture or a hug. It is crucial that they know that their friends and family share their pain and, given the power, would make it all better if they only could. But most importantly, we must show our compassion. There will be many opportunities to be stoic and strong in the hours, days, weeks and months ahead as the grieving process takes its course.

The "Fine Arts Collection" features several different themes.  Some are award-winning photographs while others are rendered paintings from our private collection.  These are best suited for Obituaries, Eulogies and Funeral Arrangements as these pages are customized to meet your needs.  Each background has an associated sound clip.  When no musical selection is indicated the associated theme sound clip will be used.

The "Discrete Background" Series are intended to be used for pages that are primarily text-based such as the Guest Book or Eulogy page. The Discrete Background Series does not have an associated sound clip.  If no musical selection is indicated, the page will default to silent mode.

We offer a selection of musical renditions to enhance your memorial website. In the table below we have provided the title of the piece,  related information and a clickable audio button so that you may hear your selection.

Photographs

You may also submit up to ten (10) photographs or other graphics to be included in your Memorial Website and an additional 10 dedicated to a Memorial Album.  Please ensure that your photographs are forwarded as an attachment to your eMail message.  

File Format

Your photos may be in the following formats: filename.gif  - filename.jpg - filename.tif (i.e. areamap.gif or Winston.jpg or Beatrice.tif) -  Keep in mind that the "tif" format is best for photographs (no loss of image quality). The *.jpg format can significantly reduce the file size making it faster to transmit but some loss of quality may be experienced.  The *.gif format works well on pictures or maps that use fewer colours or that require a clear, see-through background.  We optimize all graphics to speed-up web page deployment while maintaining good quality images.

Scans

If you do not have access to a scanner or digital picture files, you may send your photos my mail.  Please included a self addressed envelope and sufficient postage for the type of mail service you prefer. Expect that the mail system (snail-mail) will take several days to arrive.

Consisting of the following pages, is priced at $275.00 (CND) $220.00 (USD) including up to 20 photos and/or graphics combined.

Extra photographs may be added for a fee of $10.00 (CND) - $8.00 (USD) each.
Extra pages may be added for as little as $45 (CND) - $35 (USD) each

At the end of the first year and thereafter you will have the option to renew your site for only $50.00 CND / $40.00 USD per year thereafter including Hosting fees and Site Maintenance fees.
