Description:
Established in 1979, the Dalhousie
Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) is pleased to support medical research
excellence in the Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University and its
affiliated teaching hospitals in Maritime Canada. In its first 20
years, DMRF has provided $10 million in salary support, equipment grants,
and various prizes and awards recognizing excellent in medical research
and has established a $20 million endowment which will help guarantee
future funding for local research initiatives. Fundraising
activities include: An annual campaign - The Molly Appeal, a planned
giving program and memorial donations are accepted.
